While we have tried to add a lot of fabulous ingredients to this product, you may want to customize it further with other amazing ingredients. These special ingredients that we call "Goodies" can be added to our Smooth Edge Control for an additional per unit charge.
We also have a variety of Herbal Extracts and Extract Blends and Exotic Plant Oils that you might want to add to this product.
You will be able to choose one or more of these "Goodies", "Herbal Extracts/Blends", and "Exotic Plant Oils" on the product order form.

We have listed the special ingredients we offer for our Smooth Edge Control in the following list. Below each ingredient is the price for adding it to the different size units. Please note that while we have listed all units sizes below each ingredient, not all products are offered in every size.
Special Ingredient Descriptions and Labeling Information
Below each special ingredient we have listed a brief description of what the ingredient does. This will help you decide if you want to add it to the formula. If the ingredient name is highlighted in pink, it means it is a link to more information about that ingredient. It is important to have the correct INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) in the ingredient list you put on your product label. Below the description of each special ingredient, we have the INCI name(s) that should go in your ingredient list. The Smooth Edge Control product page has the full ingredient list for that product and also tells you where in the ingredient list you should add the INCI name(s) for the special ingredients.
Protein Repair Booster
This is a blend of the following materials:
- Keratin is a highly specialized fibrous protein, which is found in hair, feathers, wool and nails. Keratin is distinct from other proteins in that it is rich in cysteine (an amino acid), which gives keratin unique strengthening and protective properties. Keratin not only protects the hair but minimizes damage and increases strength.
2. Milk amino acids can penetrate the hair shaft for moisture and repair. They can bind with water to increase moisturization which results in stronger, more flexible hair.

This material contains Vitamins A, C, and E encapsulated in small liposomes. These liposomes help keep the vitamins stable until you release them on the skin and hair when you apply your product. Slip & Shine Booster
Isopropyl myristate is what is called a “dry oil”. It is a plant based material that has been modified to make it feel very light, silky & drier than regular vegetable oils. This material has a very light lubricious feel and good shine. This ingredient can be added to many of our hair and body products to add a little bit of slip and shine. This material can also be added to our edge controls, pomades and styling clay to make a bit softer, spread better, and add some more moisture which helps the hair be less frizzy and edges to stay down longer.

Shea Butter – Water Soluble
This is a water soluble material made from Shea Butter which gives refatting and moisturizing to water based products. Shea Butter is a natural fat that is not easily incorporated to products that are all or mostly water based (such as body mists, toners, body & face washes, and some shampoos). Sodium Lactate Moisturizer
Sodium lactate is the product of fermentation of sugar. Sodium Lactate is one of the Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) constituents of skin, required in the maintenance of natural hydration. Sodium Lactate is a superior moisturizer, increasing the moisture content of skin by up to 84%.
