How to Create Your Own Products

Please note that My Own only ships to addresses in the USA or Canada.

1: Samples Kits (optional)

We offer Sample Kits of our most popular products.  Our sample kits contain 2 oz unscented samples of each product which should be enough for at least 2 applications.   Please note, we cannot guarantee an item will work for you if you make the decision to purchase without sampling first!

We also offer Fragrance Samples so you can smell the fragrances you are interested in.  Fragrance samples are offered in multiples of threes (3,6,9,12).  You will receive a small sample vial (approximately 2 ml) of each fragrance you order.

2: Product Size & Quantity

Decide what size container and what quantity you want to order.  The size options, quantity, and pricing are listed on each product page in the price charts.  Please note that product quantities actually shipped may be plus or minus up to 10%.  For example, if you place an order for 100 bottles of shampoo, you may receive anywhere from 90 - 110 bottles.  You will only be invoiced for the quantity shipped.

We offer products in specific increments from 100 to 500 units.  See each individual product page for the quantities offered.  If you want larger quantities, please send us an e-mail  with product details and quantities for a quote.

3: Packaging Color

We offer 2 different packaging colors - white with black caps or black with black caps.  We may also have some other limited quantity packaging at various times.  Photos of our packaging are on the packaging page.  Decide which color you want.

4: Fragrance

We offer over 45 different fragrances for you to chose from.    Descriptions of our fragrances are listed on the fragrance page.  Decide which fragrance you want in your product.  Please note that different fragrances react differently in products.  Fragrance oils that contain vanilla, for example, have the potential of discoloring products to a tan/brown color over time, and some may cause drastic color changes.  Citrus fragrances may add a yellow to orange color. Some fragrances may cause the product to be thinner or thicker.  If we know that a fragrance causes issues in certain products, we have noted it on the fragrance page.  However, we have not tested all fragrances with all products and all goodies and hence,  we will not replace or refund any customization if it does not turn out how you wish.

5: Customization with Goodies (optional) 

You may also consider further customizing your products for your individual needs.   We offer additional materials you can add to your product.  We call these additional materials "Goodies" as they can add marketing value as well as additional performance to your product.  Adding a goodie will add an additional cost per unit.  This additional cost will vary depending on the goodie.  If you want to add additional goodies, they are described on the goodies page.

We are unable to predict how your requested customization will turn out as we do not test these goodies out in every product and with all the fragrances.  Mostly, they will not affect the product although they may thin the product down a bit or may add a very slight color or scent to the product.   Please note, we will not replace or refund any customization if it does not turn out how you wish.

6: Labels & Labeling

We do not provide labels, design services, or labeling services.  Each customer has their own vision of their designs and logos.  While we are experts at creating and manufacturing cosmetic products, we do not have a design department.

7: Fill out an Order Form

To place an order for a product, click on the order button below the price on the product page.  This will take you to our product order form.  Enter all the information on the order form and hit the "Send" button.  This will e-mail the order form to our offices. If you wish to order another product, follow the same process for each product you wish to order.  We will review your order when we receive it and respond within 2 business days with either further questions or with an invoice.

8. Payment

We take payment via Pay Pal.  You will receive 2 invoices as follows.

Intial Invoice:    The initial invoice you receive will be right after you place the order.  This invoice will be just for the amount of product you ordered (e.g. 100 bottles shampoo x $ 6.00 each = $ 600).  This initial invoice is due immediately in order for us to make your product.  If after receiving your invoice, you decide that you are no longer interested in the order, please contact us within 24 hours to cancel the invoice request.

Final Invoice:   You will receive a final invoice for the shipping costs as well as an adjustment for product quantity.  If we shipped more than you ordered (up to 10% more), there will be an addition for this quantity.  If we shipped fewer than you ordered (up to 10% fewer), your final invoice will have an adjustment to subtract the cost of the items not shipped.  This final invoice is due immediately in order for us to ship your product.  Once you have paid your final invoice, we will ship the product to the shipping address you have put on your form.  We are not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses.  If the product is returned to us or if additional shipping charges result due to rejection of shipment,  incorrect or changed shipping address, or other issues on your end, we will send you an invoice for those charges.
