Chia Seed Oil

Chia seed is an ancient food source.   Chia Seed Oil is more than 60% omega-3 fatty acid, one of the highest of any plant source.  Chia seeds are hailed as a “superfood” due to their content of fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.  Chia Seed oil is an excellent emollient for moisturizing the skin and hair.  The antioxidant content in this oil is fabulous for anti-aging skincare and the fatty acid content smooths and softens hair.

Brazil Nut Oil

Brazil Nut Oil is harvested by hand from a tree native to South America and cold pressed to create a viscous liquid that is clear, pale yellow to light brown in color with a bland, characteristically nutty odor. This oil is rich in oleic and linoleic acid, vitamin E and selenium. Brazil nut oiul helps in making hair strands healthy and treating hair that is brittle and prone to breakage.  It is highly moisturizing and gives skin a healthy glow.  It improves skin suppleness and is great for anti-aging skincare products.

Black Castor Oil

Black Castor Oil is also known as Jamaican Black Castor Oil.  It is a dark, rich oil that is used as a conditioning agent in a wide range of Personal Care applications. It is predominantly used in hair and skin products for its hydrating, nourishing, and cleansing properties. Jamaican Black Castor Oil’s natural moisturizing abilities are ideal for providing softness and shine to otherwise coarse hair, making it perfect for ethnic hair care products.

Babassu Oil

Babassu Oil is obtained from the cold pressing of kernels from the nuts of Orbignya oleifera, a tree that grows in the savanna or Cerrado region of central Brazil. Babassu Oil has strong moisturizing properties, hydrating the skin and decreasing transepidermal water loss to improve skin smoothness, improve the lipid barrier of the skin and enhance moisture retention.  Babassu oil contains a high amount of vitamin E and other antioxidants which help the hair repair damage from everyday toxins and stressors.

Amla oil

Amla oil is also known as Indian gooseberry oil.  It is cold-pressed extracted from the seed of the Emblica officinalis plant. Amla oil is rich in antioxidants including flavonoids and polyphenols. It is widely used in Ayurveda and used in anti-aging products due to its antioxidant properties. Amla oil helps to nourish the hair and moisturize the scalp.  It absorbs well into skin and has good moisturizing and water-retaining properties.

Detangler for Conditioners

This material is a conditioner & detangler for hair products.  It offers anti-tangle, anti-static, and emollient properties.  It is an amazing detangler.  It can be added to any of our conditioner bases and repair masque.

We suggest that for maximum detangling in the conditioners, you add it at double the regular amount (2X).

This material has a very light lubricious feel and good shine.   This ingredient can be added to any of our hair, skin, bath & beard oils to make the oil feel lighter and drier.  This material will make the oil thinner, less yellow, and less oily feeling.  The oil will still give good shine and spread well.

Curl Definer
