We also have a variety of Herbal Extracts and Extract Blends that you might want to add to this product.
You will be able to choose one or more of these "Goodies" and "Herbal Extracts/Blends" on the product order form.

Below each special ingredient we have listed a brief description of what the ingredient does. This will help you decide if you want to add it to the formula. If the ingredient name is highlighted in pink, it means it is a link to more information about that ingredient. It is important to have the correct INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) in the ingredient list you put on your product label. Below the description of each special ingredient, we have the INCI name(s) that should go in your ingredient list. The Clarifying Toner product page has the full ingredient list for that product and also tells you where in the ingredient list you should add the INCI name(s) for the special ingredients.
Vitamins A, C, & E
This material contains Vitamins A, C, and E encapsulated in small liposomes. These liposomes help keep the vitamins stable until you release them on the skin and hair when you apply your product. These vitamins not only are antioxidants but help promote healthy hair, scalp, and skin. These vitamins can help add condition and shine to the hair and promote anti-aging on the skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is abundant in natural alpha hydroxy acids, free amino acids, monosaccharides (fructose, glucose), oligosaccharides and hydrosoluble vitamins (group B, C). These all contribute to additional cleansing benefits to remove build up of other products to give you a healthy scalp and shiny lustrous hair.

Glycerin Moisturizer
This “goodie” is so you can add a higher percentage of Glycerin to your products. Glycerin is what is called a “humectant”. It attracts water to skin and hair. It adds great moisturizing to skin care products without an oily feel. It is water soluble so is fabulous in body washes and shampoos. It is well known as a curl enhancer in products for wavy and curly hair and helps define curls.

DNA Defense Booster
This booster is a highly purified portion of a watermelon species which originated from the Kalahari desert. This watermelon species has to withstand extreme climate conditions – heat, drought, and intensive UV irradiation. It has developed it’s own defense system against these conditions to survive. This booster has harnessed the portion of an extract from this watermelon species that consists of naturally occurring vitamins, carbohydrates, and specific amino acids to take advantage of it’s efficient defense system. Anti-Pollution Shield
Urban pollution and smog contain many small hydrocarbon and heavy metal particles (called PM 2.5) which can be responsible for premature aging and irritation. Pollution and smog may include cigarette smoke, fuel exhaust, and other hydrocarbons. These pollutants contain free radicals which lead to lipid peroxidation which causes skin aging. This material purified from an exotic microorganism found in deep seawater in French Polynesia creates a “shield” on your face to fight against the adhesion of these PM 2.5 particles on the skin. Pumpkin Enzyme – Cell Turnover Booster

Sodium Lactate Moisturizer
Sodium lactate is the product of fermentation of sugar. Sodium Lactate is one of the Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) constituents of skin, required in the maintenance of natural hydration. Sodium Lactate is a superior moisturizer, increasing the moisture content of skin by up to 84%. When compared to other commonly used moisturizers, it’s water holding capacity is second only to Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid).

Natural Moisturizing Factor
Derived from amino acids, this material is similar to the Natural Moisturizing Factor which is a normal part of the skin. It can increase moisture in the skin and hair with more hydrating power than glycerin to give softness and elasticity.

Glycans
Glycans are widely used in skin & hair care products because of their ability to bind with water efficiently and increase depth of hydration. They are easily accepted by skin and hair because of their positive charge. They are a precursor to Hyaluronic acid improving the moisturization, elasticity, firmness of skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
